Live, love, and laugh with llamas! Hiking in the mountains is always a great way to connect with nature, but when you add llamas?! Just wow! The llamas have cute and quirky personalities, but are very intuitive. They can sense your fear or your calm, or hear wildlife well before any of the humans do. We were able to see a lot of deer not too far from us, after noticing the cute llama ears perk up. They have a great posture, so it's a nice reminder to stand tall and notice the surroundings, rather than just look down at the trail. They are curious about you and may come in close to sniff you, or nudge your ponytail, like Elvis did to me (he must have been whispering sweet words of encouragement as we climbed elevation!). I loved walking with both Triby and Elvis. Triby, who acts as the wiser llama, but also wants to test your lead a bit. And Elvis: Young, curious, and a little like a whining kid at times, wanting a snack or just a break. They truly bring smiles and laughter to the hiking experience. Kara, their handler, is not only passionate about llamas, but also the wilderness in general, specifically the wildflowers- I learned so much! I highly recommend Wonder Meadow Farm and their well-deserved reputation for caring for their llamas and hikers, alike.

Thank you for this opportunity to hike with your llamas. My boys were mesmerized by them, especially Jaiden. He said he felt a kind of calmness being with them and walking alongside them. I am generally not an animal person...but today, I too felt a sense of comfort being this close to the llamas. I wasn't afraid because they seemed so self-assured...especially Triby...I was so excited he let me hug him at the end! I would certainly do this again...

We did a 2-hour llama hike, and loved every minute of it! The llamas are well-trained and friendly, and they are great at walking on their leads. They carried our water bottles and gear in their packs--it was crazy to hike without my pack, and such a pleasure. We also got plenty of time for photos and and llama hugs. A really special experience!

Hiking with llamas is the adventure I never knew I needed. I’ve done a lot of hiking but there is something so different about including llamas. We started out getting to know the llamas. Kara was our guide and did a wonderful job of answering questions and making sure we all felt safe. I spent most of my hike with Triby, the sweetest llama ever. Ok, I haven’t met many llamas but I’m sure Triby is among the sweetest. He hummed in my ear as we walked along and by the end of the hike, I didn’t want to let him go. Bonus part, this is the first time my kid didn’t complain while hiking! I highly recommended this experience. Gorgeous views, expert guides, and the best llamas!

From start to finish, hiking with Wonder Meadow Farm was a fantastic experience. Communication before the hike was great and when we arrived in the morning we met Elvis and Triby and got a llama lesson before setting out on our hike. Elvis and Triby were super adorable and awesome hiking companions. And Kara and Brent were friendly and great guides. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Colorado and I would highly recommend this llama hike!

We had an amazing experience hiking and having lunch with llamas from Wonder Meadow Farm! Kara and Brent are excellent hosts and guides. After we were introduced to our hiking companions Triby and Elvis, we enjoyed leading them on a beautiful hike in Staunton State Park. Kara shared some history of the park and pointed out interesting things in nature along the way. We had a delicious lunch by a pond then completed our hike with our new llama friends. This will be a day that we will never forget with our family that was visiting from out of town.

We live in Colorado and this is one of the coolest things we have done here! Kara and her husband Brent are so lovely and we both enjoyed our time talking to them. They are very knowledgeable of course about llamas and we learned interesting things about llamas! Then there are the sweetest llama boys - Triby and Elvis. They are just the cutest and to be able to hang with a llama is pretty incredible. The scenery was beautiful and 100/10 would recommend this experience.

This was one of the most fun things we have done on vacation. The tour guides, Kara and Brent, were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable with Elvis and Triby. We learned a lot about the area, the different plants and trees, while enjoying the beautiful views up in the mountains. The hike is perfect for beginners or people who are not regulars to hiking. If you are looking for something different to do, I would highly recommend this hike.

Fun, unique, relaxing hike with personable llamas and lovely guides! If you want a memorable experience outdoors, this is well worth the price. Our guides Kara and Brent were friendly and clearly love their llamas. Kara gave us facts about local mountain flora, so we also got an educational nature walk. The llamas were relaxed and easy to handle, had unique personalities with their own quirks, and were very cute and silly. It was a relatively easy hike and a good length, about two hours. Very happy with our experience and I would recommend it to anyone I know.

Kara & Brent were great tour guides. The trail was beautiful. We started by introducing ourselves to the llamas and got to hand feed them! And we ended the tour with llama pictures and giving them a big llama hug! The llamas were similar to walking a dog. On the trail, we saw some elk too! Kara was very knowledgeable about the plant life and the history of the ranch as well. I learned that Aspen trees have salicylic acid on the bark (aspirin).

We absolutely loved walking the mountains with Elvis and Triby. It was an amazing experience and we learned a lot about not only llamas but also wildflowers and local history. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who just likes going on a nice hike and wants to spend some time with animals. The llamas are super easy to walk with and just so interesting to get to know.

We had an absolutely incredible time on Kara and Brent’s llama hike! From start to finish, they were welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their animals. The hike itself was beautiful, but the real stars were the llamas—Triby, Elvis, and Gus.

Triby was friendly and curious, Elvis had so much personality and kept us smiling the entire hike, and Gus was calm, gentle, and an absolute joy to spend time with. All three llamas were well-trained, well-cared for, and made the experience unforgettable.

Kara and Brent did a fantastic job sharing information about the llamas, answering questions, and making sure everyone felt comfortable and included. You can tell how much love and care they put into both their animals and their guests’ experience.

If you’re looking for a unique outdoor adventure with amazing people and wonderful animals, I cannot recommend Kara and Brent’s llama hike enough. It was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had, and we can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time! This was such an exciting and unique experience. Our guides were friendly and well informed. The hiking wasn’t difficult for us, for a novice. The scenery was beautiful and the llamas were so well behaved and the most adorable, fun animals. We will always remember this day!!

We had an amazing experience. Kara and Brent are very knowledgeable and passionate about their llamas. We were able to walk three llamas - Triby, Elvis, and Gus. They were all great, very personable llamas. The trail was rugged but easily doable in sneakers. The llamas were very friendly, and we were able to pet them and, by the end, hug them. It was a wonderful hike. My wife and teen girls can't stop talking about how much fun they had. I highly recommend this llama hike.

Loved every second of our experience! My 7 year old son and I did this hike/tour together and couldn’t have asked for a better time. Our family’s first llama hike was unforgettable. Ms. Kara set the perfect pace, helped us get comfortable with Elvis, Triby, and Freddie, and was wonderfully patient with my 8‑year‑old. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience magical. Colorado’s beauty + sweet llamas = perfect family adventure.

Highly recommend. Meet-up was very easy, intro email the day before covered everything I felt like I needed to know. Llamas were fun to be around! Guides knew about the local habitat, flora and fauna, and let our questions lead where the discussions went. Guides personable, llamas well-behaved.

We had a blast with these two, as well as their owners Kara & Brent.

This really is a unique experience. We walked just under 4 miles in a beautiful open area and learned a tremendous amount about the local flora and fauna from Kara.

But the real stars of the show are Elvis and Triby. They both have such different personalities. Elvis started humming for us halfway through, and then Triby decided to join in near the end.

The icing on the cake was when they seemed to be sad that we were leaving. They are both such sweet and empathetic llamas, and it was our privilege to get to spend the morning with them.

This is a true passion project for their owners. This is not some big company. It's a wonderful couple that love their animals and enjoy sharing them with others.

We did so many things in the Denver area during our vacation here, but this was our favorite.

I just want you to know the Llama hike was my favorite part of our Colorado trip! (the horseback ride was a bit scary coming down the mountain!) And that I have been your greatest ambassador and educator! From valet guys to strangers to my friends and family, I showed pictures, told them where you are located and how much we enjoyed the hike and the Llamas. AND - I have educated numerous people on the fact that you do not ride a Llama and they do NOT spit!!!
